This symposium was organised along with the 35th Management Board Meeting of Euraqua, in Koblenz (Germany), from Nov. 9th to 10th, 2010.

It aimed to compile the state of the art and knowledge by the EurAqua-Partners regarding scientific policy advice and research on climate change and impacts. The focus was on inland waters through four themes:

  • 200 Years hydrology inEurope- a European perspective in a changing world
  • Research efforts on climate projections and scenarios for water balances and run-off regimes
  • Research efforts on climate projections and scenarios for water quality
  • Research efforts on climate projections and scenarios for rivers ecology

The symposium proceedings have been published in Oct. 2011 (pdf file available here).
